Beach Day Basics

The Mid-Beach beach-day list, and what you always forget.

· 3 min read · Miami Beach

Applying sunscreen next to a beach bag and towel

A Miami Beach day is simple until you are on the sand and realize what you left in the room. The sun here does not play, the walk back is long, and the hotel minibar is not the answer. Here is the short list, and where to grab whatever is missing on the way to the water.

The beach-day basics

  • Sunscreen, and more than you think you need
  • Water, cold and plenty of it
  • Snacks and cold drinks for the long afternoon
  • A hat or shade, the Mid-Beach sun is strong from late morning on
  • The easy-to-forget ones: a phone charger, lip balm, a few basics

Grab it on the way, not at minibar prices

We are the corner store in the lobby at 5101 Collins Ave, stocked with sunscreen, cold drinks, water, snacks, beach basics, toiletries, and the everyday things a beach day eats through. Walk in on your way to the sand, or order ahead and skip the line.
